Congratulations to our newest certified members!

Julie Gorka is a Suzuki piano teacher in Raleigh, NC.  She has taught students of various levels for 28 years. She has a B.A. in Piano Performance from Beloit College, in Beloit, Wisconsin, and has Suzuki teacher training from the American Suzuki Institute in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the Suzuki Association of the Greater Washington Area Institute, the Colorado Suzuki Institute, and the International Suzuki Festival of Lima, Peru.  She performs Scottish music (on piano, fiddle, and harp), contra dance music, Klezmer, historic English, Colonial, and Russian music, and enjoys learning and exploring folk styles.  Her recording with her Scottish band, “A Sheep at the Wheel” was released recently.



Amy Harris earned her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music in piano performance from the University of Georgia, Summa Cum Laude. There she studied piano with Dr. Evgeny Rivkin and Dr. Martha Thomas, respectively. She currently teaches piano and music theory at Queens University of Charlotte.  Her areas of instruction at Queens University have included private and group piano lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, Class Piano, Seminar in Applied Analysis, and Applied Piano Studies.  Mrs. Harris is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, a registered Suzuki piano instructor, a professional member of the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum, and a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society.
